1976 230.4 Mercedes Strich Acht
This Model is one of my personal favourite Mercs out there.
This car has been owned by a Dr. in the U.K. then passed on to his daughter, who sold it to the first owner in Ireland in 2013 owner with 98000 miles on the clock. The car came straight off the ferry into my workshop and it received a full service. A new intermediate steering leaver bushing kit was fitted as well as new front axle bushings. I converted it to run on electronic ignition and fitted H&R lowering springs (4cm).
In 2018 I saw the car again, after the car had been in a small accident, but had already been repaired. The front left wing needed replacing and a partial re-spray has been done (not by us)
The car received another full service including new calipers in the front, new brake pads and hoses all around and a new brake master cylinder. All fluids and filters have been changed.
The owner decided to sell the car and it came into my ownership.
I have now done the following jobs to further improve the car:
- fitted upgraded alloy wheels (original 6,5J Mercedes Baroque from a W107), with new tyres (Kumho 195/65 R14, powder coated in satin black with red pin stripe
- new blower motor (original Mercedes which is not available anymore!)
- Carburettor overhaul
- new gear leaver bushings
- radiator overhaul
- wheel alignment
Will consider swapping against an 80’s W124 Estate in excellent condition. Preferrably a 300 Diesel.
